~How an Idea Can Act Like a Living Thing~
This is a fun idea to engage in a dialog space, as it presents some challenge to break into a descriptive format, I think. But I think it's a neat topic for thought and is rich with potential for exploration.
I am going to go with a 'fun' hypothetical example I struck upon while pondering this topic, and perhaps we will see how that manifests itself in this way.
Going from the last post on environment/self, we can elaborate on that here. So imagine if you will, if that idea has taken a spark of life and began to grow and mature into something greater and 'other than' what it was before.
These days most of us have a bit of an online life, perhaps an online presence as well. So you could say that your 'self' as well as your 'environment' has an 'online' component to it. This connects us by way of internet in way of information, or by whatever terminology you'd prefer to use, I suppose.
But of course, this internet we utilize to access this online component to our 'self/environment' is not neutral. I think firstly, one would want to consider the algorithms involved which influence what information we are most naturally presented with. As well, these algorithms also have influence over our online selves' informational reach over these informational spaces.
I'm basically laying out some basis for each of us having an online component unique to each of us, an online identity, or 'self'. In the same way, our online experience, would be an environment, which would work the same way, if you apply it to the earlier post on 'how environment interacts and relates with self.'
But I would also like to go a little bit further in this post's topic, insofar as an idea can be like a living thing. Fortunately AI is now becoming a thing, and is a handy logical tool for such a post as this :P.
Well, going on the same line of thought as the algorithms, I don't think its a stretch to see AI as a tool being leveraged in the area of these algorithms that are already used to tailor our online selves/environments. What does this mean? I think this means, hypothetically, that given time and natural evolution, eventually, we each are going to earn ourselves our very own AI counterpart identity, existing in relation, and as well in some degree autonomously, as we ourselves are a sovereign being to each ourselves.
Where could this lead?
Well I guess I don't know.
But its an interesting thought. Though, it is just that. A thought. Wonder if there's an AI 'duffboi' interpreting and pondering this right now. Hehe.
Well, I typed this on my Freewrite :P.
so ~peace, till next time
